This proposed course for 2019 is all about its participants and the wonderful atmosphere, musicality, warmth and happiness that has made Malvern Winds what it is today. We look forward to returning to Malvern College in 2020 but we hope to see you all at Woldingham to keep the Malvern spirit alive!
Final bookings will close 15th June 2019, and course details confirmed by mid July.
The 2019 Course
Our repertoire for 2019 will be both core favourites from all periods, together with works that are new to our ever-expanding catalogue of wind chamber music. Our focus is on programming quality repertoire that challenges and brings out the best in your playing, with a varied mixture of group sizes from trio to larger chamber groups. All repertoire for these allocated pre-formed groups is set upon the closing date for applications when we have final numbers and combinations.
We do have a cap on numbers of participants we accept per instrument – this is to ensure the good balance essential for the high quality of programming we have achieved from year to year. We seek to give each participant two contrasting pieces, including repertoire for auxiliary instruments such as piccolo, bass clarinet, basset horn, cor anglais and contrabassoon.
For details of past works played at Malvern - please see our repertoire page.
